Great Buddha Monastery Holds the 2024 Weeklong Intensive Beginner’s Meditation Class in Thailand

From August 25th to September 1st, practitioners and volunteers from all over the world gathered in Great Buddha Monastery for a week of intensive practice. They learned core Buddhist teachings and participated in a diverse array of activities, all meant to break down their attachments and reveal the pure mind.

Are Your Six Senses in Check?

Maintaining single-minded focus is imperative in accomplishing any task, whether in stillness like meditation or studying, or in action like walking or driving. Applying the same mindfulness to all our daily activities means drawing the six senses away from the sense objects. When we can abide internally and be unswayed by external conditions, we can achieve self-mastery with strength and wisdom.
